A sales pitch for Paypal lacking details and advice

This is a classic example of not judging a book by it's cover. Instead of a book about online fundraising, this is really a book on using PayPal to fundraise online. The book mentions other services rarely, and assumes that the reader will only use PayPal or Ebay (which owns PayPal) Other systems are given a passing mention as examples of why PayPal is better.
The book is poorly written, constantly repeating itself and in it's 133 pages with the type is so big and so much white space this could easily be a glorified PDF or help screen on PayPal's website. I have no problem with Paypal promoting its product and explaining how to use it, but I do think they shouldn't charge for such a book and lead the reader to believe this is a platform-agnostic book on fundraising.
To be fair, they do have some good basic information about how to start a grassroots fundraiser for a non-profit of personal cause such as a bullied bus monitor. The wide of variety of ways to connect with your potential donors is included but the book lacks sufficient details or a way of developing an action plan to be of much practical use and most of this information is already on Paypal's website.

Very helpful book

I have found this book to be invaluable since I am trying to learn as much as I can about the topic quickly. Lindsey's writing style is very approachable and she breaks the issues down very clearly. Even though I am not fundraising through PayPal specifically, this guide is a very good overview to how online fundraising works, what the legal issues are, and how to get started. This will be a handy reference book for me and she also provides a solid list of other books to read on the subject.

Excellent resource for online giving

Although directed toward eBay PayPal, this is still a great resource if you are considering using online fundraising. Good book.
